As part of the AI in Mentoring project, national induction sessions with the newly formed local teams of trainers of WBL mentors have now been successfully carried out in all participating countries.
These sessions marked an important preparatory step in the implementation of the project’s training activities. Organised by each national partner, the events brought together professionals from the fields of vocational education and training, mentorship, and adult learning who will be actively involved in delivering the project’s training programme to company-based mentors.
The aim of the induction meetings was to ensure full onboarding of the national teams: presenting the overall objectives and timeline of the project, clarifying their upcoming responsibilities, and introducing them to the instructional materials developed to support the training. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange insights on key themes such as AI mindset formation, critical thinking in work-based settings, and the relevance of AI-supported tools across the mentoring phases.
Notably, the level of interest and engagement across countries has exceeded expectations, confirming the relevance of the project’s goals and the need for practical support for mentors working in dual and work-based learning environments.
With the local induction phase now complete, all national teams are looking ahead to the upcoming international training of trainers, which will take place on 18–19 June 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
